About Our Founder – Vince Clanton

After a successful career as president of one of Atlanta’s leading food brokerage companies, Vince Clanton decided that he would like to make the experiences and the expertise developed in his career available to others. From his own personal journey in the creation of his financial plan, he observed that what many people want but have a difficult time finding, is a single source for guidance.

Vince earned his credentials in the areas of life and health insurance, securities, and investment advice, and was later accredited as a Certified Financial Planner™ in 2002. Today, Vince Clanton is President of The Chancellor Group, Inc., a thriving consulting business which emphasizes comprehensive financial planning for individuals, families, and business owners and their key employees.

A native of Atlanta, Vince graduated from The Lovett School, attended Rice University, graduated from Georgia Tech in Aerospace Engineering, and completed his MBA at Georgia State University. Vince also served a tour of duty as a commissioned officer in the United States Navy.

Vince is an active member of the community, having served as President of the Georgia State University Alumni Association, a member of the Board of Advisors of the Children’s Miracle Network Telethon, The Chapter of the Cathedral of St. Philip, The Georgia State University Foundation, and The Georgia State University Athletic Association. He is past president of the Rotary Club of Vinings, and is currently Treasurer of the McDonnell Counseling and Spiritual Life Center.

Vince is married to Cynthia Hinrichs Clanton, and has two sons, Ryan and Scott, and two grandsons. Ryan is an opera singer, and travels the world in his career. Scott is a banker, and lives in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with his wife, Christina and sons Tyler and Davis.
